How to Market Your Courses

One year ahead through actual course date
  • Discuss CRS Course with participants at other educational offerings informally during breaks and hand out your CRS Course flier.
Four months ahead
  • Request mailing labels from the Council.
  • Send postcard announcing CRS Course to target audience.
  • Post CRS Course information on your Web site and MLS Notice Boards.
  • Send out news release about the CRS Course to local and business media.
  • Contact local REALTOR® boards and associations and let them know a CRS course is coming to their area. 
Three months ahead
  • Send out second news release.
  • Distribute personalized e-mails locally to CRS general members and past students.
  • Begin radio announcements at a local station.
Two months ahead
  • Distribute brochure with details about the CRS Course and Instructor to the target audience.
  • Send out a news release about the CRS Instructor.
  • Write and send personalized e-mails to your members and past students.
One month ahead
  • Send out a reminder postcard on your CRS Course.
  • Make calls to CRS general members and past students.
  • Call local managers and brokers and ask to speak about your course at their next sales meeting.
  • Distribute a calendar news release.
  • Request a blast e-mail from CRS.
