Council of Residential Specialists :: Membership Stats & Surveys

Membership Stats & Surveys

In April 2011, an independent research firm, Westat, hired by the Council conducted a survey of randomly selected members. A web-based online questionaire was distributed to 11,213 individuals. A total of 853 responses were received. After accounting for undeliverable questions, the survey had an adjusted response rate of 10%.

Information regarding earnings and production is characteristic of 2010, while other data are representative of member characteristics in 2011.

The goal of the membership survey is to provide statistically valid research from CRS Designees and Candidates that can affect the Council’s long-term course of development and short-term implementation priorities.

Overall, the typical CRS Designee is a 62-year-old woman who earns an annual income of $79,000 while working 45 hours a week for a franchise company.
