Duties of Instructor

Core CRS Courses

The Instructor is responsible for:
  • Contacting the sponsor at least two weeks prior to the course to verify hotel accommodations, and discuss course logistics, marketing, etc. 
  • Meeting with the on-site administrator before the course starts to determine that all equipment is on-hand and in working order, i.e. screen, flip charts, sound system, etc. They should also determine who will pass out the course outlines, exams and evaluation forms, and break and lunch times.
  • Sending Product Orders and Membership Applications to CRS. 

CRS Approved One-Unit Courses 

The Instructor/Course Author is responsible for:

  • Marketing his/her course to sponsors.
  • Scheduling the course with the sponsor.
  • Negotiating instructor fee and other related expenses with the sponsor.
  • Providing marketing materials to the sponsor.
  • Assisting the sponsor with marketing each course as agreed by both parties.
  • Providing camera-ready student materials for duplication to the sponsor.
  • Notifying the Council of each scheduled course using the “Notification of Scheduled CRS Approved One-Day Course” form.
  • Promoting Council membership and the CRS Designation at each course presentation.
  • Payment of the royalty fee to the Council.
